Each year, billions of dollars are stolen, laundered, and hidden from governments and communities from around the world. Working with the UNDP’s Financial Integrity Team, we developed an interactive data story that visualizes the illicits financial flows around the globe.

My role in the project included developing the visual system and designing and developing the interactive website. The UNDP Financial Integrity Team conducted research on illicit financial flows, which I then translated into a visual narrative.
First, I developed the concept and the static visualizations for the report. Then, I iterated on an interactive prototype in Figma to test how the different elements of the story could work together. Finally, I brought the prototype to life in Readymag. The final product combines research, data visualizations, and interactive elements to help audiences better understand how illicit financial flows operate around the world.
